If you’re running low on disk space or juggling large amounts of data, OneDrive Files On-Demand is a simple but powerful feature that helps you access everything you need, without filling up your device.
How It Works
Files On-Demand shows all your OneDrive files directly in File Explorer, even if they’re stored only in the cloud. You can open or download files as needed, and choose specific items to keep available offline.
Why It’s Useful
- Save space on your hard drive 💾
- Keep your device running faster and lighter
- Access all your documents wherever you are
- Store frequently used files offline for travel or poor-signal areas
How to Turn It On
- Right-click the OneDrive cloud icon in your system tray
- Go to Settings > Sync and backup > Advanced settings
- Ensure Files On-Demand is enabled
If you’d like help setting up OneDrive, managing cloud storage, or improving your business productivity tools, the Skunkworks IT team is here to support you.
